Society has progressed, but homophobia and harassment are still present. Reflecting on the 2016 Orlando shooting and the countless stories of teen suicide, the filmmakers feel that this is a story that needs to be told.

 

The crew and cast felt that the film even resonated with their own dealings in life, having been through various forms of harassment themselves.

We understand the title of our film can be a negative trigger for some people. However, our goal is to bring attention to the unacceptable usage of that word and how prominent it has grown in our modern society.
